Hell’s Kitchen welcomed a new farmer’s market to the area today. The market runs along the sidewalk on 42nd St between 11th & 12th Avenues, and will be running 8am-6pm every Wednesday through to the end of November.
Per the site, here’s the list of stalls that are participating so far:
- Artisanal Bakery: Breads and baked goods from Bergen County, NJ
- Dipaola Turkey Farm: Turkeys from Mercer County, NJ
- Millport Dairy: Cheddar cheese, beef, pickles and baked goods from Lancaster County, PA
- Morgiewicz Produce: Vegetables from the black dirt of Orange County, NY
- Nature’s Way Honey: Honey & candles from Chemung County, NY
- Norwich Meadows Farm: Certified Organic vegetables from Chenango County, NY
- Toigo Orchard: Orchard fruit from Cumberland County, PA
- Las Delicias: Baked goods New York County, NY
They also had live music on in the middle of the day, as well as a free demonstration. With the dramas going on with the Big Apple Meat Market being bounced between locations, and the cancelled plans for a new supermarket on 45th St, it’ll hopefully help fill the void of fresh food in the area.
